Why Study in this Department?

Political Science is basically the study of how power is exercised and decisions are made in society. As such, the study of Political Science will help students to gain insights into how power operates and decisions are made in society which affects their day-o-day lives. It also enables and encourages students to critically observe, analyse, and evaluate complex social issues in society. The study of Political Science will also mould students to be informed and responsible citizens in society and at the same time help students to broaden their horizons and appreciate differing viewpoints in society and promote cultural diversity in society.
