Bappa Sarkar, Assistant Professor of Geography at Dinhata College, Cooch Behar, completed his graduation from Cooch Behar College in 2007 and secured 1st class 1st in Geography. He completed his master’s degree in 2009 from the Department of Geography and Applied Geography at University of North Bengal, secured 1st class 2nd. He was awarded a National Scholarship for his academic excellence. He completed his Ph.D. from the University of North Bengal, 2018 and has guided 3 scholars at Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University. He has participated in various remote sensing and GIS professional training programs at NRSC, Hyderabad, and IIRS, Dehradun. Additionally, he has participated in many National and International seminars and has published 6 articles in National and 7 in International Journals (as of October 2023). His areas of interest include Cartography, RS& GIS, and Agricultural Geography.
